With the elimination of the STP (Street Touring Pony) class this year I had to find a new home, so I picked CAMC (Classic American Muscle Contemporary). I like the fact that the CAM rules are really thin, they fit on one side of a standard sheet of paper, but it makes for a really competitive field since setups are unlimited.
Last year the CAM classes were sparsely populated. This year it seems that everyone and their brother wants to run in them. Last year, had I run in CAMC I would have won it hands down. This weekend I came in 7th of 16.
One of the more fun entries this weekend...

CAMC is such a massive variety of preparation . I’ve run my TA against everything from stock Mustangs with headers to a Camaro with a massive splitter, spoiler, 315 tires, and a wicked cam.

The central
Texas clubs both decided to lump all of the CAM cars together this year, so the winning Camaro was a ‘68 with 315 tires all around. I did find it kind of funny that all of the other Camaros were at the bottom of the pack.
